  1. Many thanks for the reply Joe. The annoying thing in all this is parking brake seems to be working fine, holding on hills, and releasing itself as normal.
  2. Hi all, new to here. I have an 06 S type 2.7 diesel, about a year now, and 2 weeks ago, just after passing its MOT, the parking brake fault came up on dashboard. I tried disconnecting battery for up to half an hour at a time, but this didn`t cure the problem. Left it in with local mechanic for a normal service and transmission service, and his snap on solus diagnostic machine couldn`t find any fault codes. I then replaced the battery, but again still getting fault on dash. Does anybody know if his diagnostic tool normally picks up Jaguar codes, or do I have to go to dealer to get fault diagnosed? Many thanks, Brian.
