Cheers Joe, No it's completely different to the S type, these have a toggle switch in the knob which have to be pressed to select drive , and it's the toggle switch that has gone -

Hi all, I have an x type with an iffy gear knob{the button on the back is missing} and i have to fiddle about to put it into drive. My question is how do i remove the gear knob to replace with a new one, cheers...Steve...
