  1. Bill, only my second jag always fancied one but had company cars. The first was the v6 3 ltr with all the toys, wasn’t really looking to change but saw this one and was smitten,,missed toys at first but more than happy with what I’ve got now and as you say better fuel and tax more than covers the extra top end speed. Steve
  2. Thanks Bill that’s really useful info, just found it strange it stopped in drive but tried what you suggest and works ok suppose it’s just a matter of getting used to it. I had a 17 plate xe with the 2 ltr Diesel engine on loan when my car was in, it had all the toys and looks great inside but to be honest I found it underpowered compared to mine. Thanks again steve
  3. Hi Bill, just got car back from dealers and stop start working ok, they said battery had good charge, just one question, does the engine stop when still in drive I thought it had to be in neutral . Steve
  4. Hi Bill, just got back from journey about 50ml, no air con or anything else turned on and eco still didn’t operate. Car going back to dealers on Monday to have system and batteries checked will update later, steve
  5. Hi Bill, I agree I usually turn the eco off as I believe it takes more fuel to restart the car than letting it tick over especially if your in a queue. My only concern is that it doesn’t work because of a battery fault. Going on a long run today so will see what happens then, after that I will take it back and have batteries checked by dealer. Steve
  6. Bill thanks for info, yes two batteries in boot, checked the voltage on both they seem ok and have no starting issues. Will see what happens after a good run. Thanks again Steve
  7. Hi John don’t know if you got sorted but if you search the web on “jaguar OSH” you can find the cars online service history by using the vin number Steve
  8. Hi Bill, thanks for reply, that would account for that as not really done any long journeys and air on has been on most of time. Do you get the “system shut down in 3 minutes” indication if you just sw ignition on ?
  9. Hi new member just wondered just bought 2014 XF R Sport 2.2 D. When I switch ignition on the low battery warning light comes straight on and says system will shut down in 3 minutes, also eco start/ stop doesn’t appear to work could they be related.
