  1. Hi Peter, You can do this yourself, using the car's WiFi connection. I checked mine soon after I got the WiFi in my 2017 X260 up & running. There weren't any updates available at the time - thanks for your post - I'll be checking again now! Here's a link to the guide for doing it... Software Updates | InControl | Jaguar UK Good luck, Jon
  2. Hi Paul, I can't explain what's going on (these cars are too complex), but as you're in Sussex (as am I), I'd suggest a trip to Arun Automotive in Ashington. I've had two XFs from them, and the service guys are great. Good luck! J
  3. Thank you Jim & Nick! Jim, sorry for not replying sooner - I recognised the X250 in the video - had one of those until last year. Nick, I'll seek out the dimmer today - haven't noticed it so far, but that pesky control panel is hiding in plain sight. Cheers, Jon
  4. Hi All, Is it possible to adjust the display brightness of the electronic instrument panel in a '17MY XF S? Mine seems a bit too bright at night! Can't find anything in the manual. Cheers, Jon
  5. Hi John, I would guess so, unless you want to swap to smaller diameter wheels as well, to allow for taller tyres, otherwise the speedometer and odometer will be giving incorrect readings, which I'd guess would be illegal. Cheers, Jon
  6. Hi Andrew, in my experience, the handbook is generic. My current (2nd) XF manual describes everything (as did he previous one), sorry, but that's the way it is!
  7. Hi Victor, Definitely no leak that I can see, definitely when cold. Looks like a visit to my local indy Jaguar dealer where I bought it (my second from them), is on the cards Thanks again, Jon
  8. Hi Victor, No idea in my case, it's a 2017 XF S 3.0, I bought it a few months ago with 34K miles on it. Maybe should get it checked Thanks, Jon
  9. Hi All, I'm curious about my XF's behaviour when reversing (uphill) out of a parking spot with a rather steep slope. It seems to be reluctant to reverse up the slope, needing a fair bit of throttle before moving, then stopping immediately if the throttle is eased off. Discovered this behaviour on a recent trip to (very hilly!) Cornwall. Is there some king of witchcraft coming into play to prevent the car rolling forward, or is there a problem that I need to get looked into? Any advice gratefully received! Cheers! Jon
  10. I had the same problem, went to my nearest Jaguar dealer - they removed the previous owner for free ("Just but your next one from us" they said!). Still can't get the remote app to work though - it's asking for a PIN, which I have no knowledge of - tried the usual suspect - 1926 - to no avail, and can't see anyway to reset the PIN. Ho Hum!
  11. Hi Paul, Must admit, I'm surprised! Thought electric mirrors were a standard fitment on all XF's! So we all learn something! J
  12. Hi Paul, There should be two buttons (left/right mirror select) and a joystick for adjustment. Pressing the two buttons together should fold/unfold the mirrors Cheers, Jon
