I recently purchased a 2005 XKR which 3 years previous had a 'prang' and was written-off as a CAT D (now Cat N). I had the vehicle thoroughly examined, before purchase, and it's fine. I was informed by the seller's agent the damage was only cosmetic, caused by a RangeRover trying to park in the same space. However the owner that had the accident was three owners before me and I would like to trace him to find out a little more. I've tried through DVLA but after several weeks of waiting I'm not holding out much hope of a positive reply. I've managed to trace a garage that dealt with this owner who I want to contact but due to confidentiality concerns they can't give me any contact details and their attempts to contact this previous owner on my behalf have also come to naught.
So does anyone recall a black XKR 2005 on either of the following plates? GK 55 CJF or more importantly F4SPJ. I'm guessing the then owner lived in Dorset in the Wimbourne area
