  1. hi my car wont wheel spin no matter what i try! it has plenty of power but i am getting a bearing noise from the rear im wondering if what ever the noise is could cause the car not to wheel spin ive sat and redlined it and popped the clutch with tc off but still it wont do it the clutch doesnt slip or that it just pulls away no spin
  2. im wondering if you could help,im getting a bearing noise from the rear im hoping it is the two wheel bearings as they where both done at the same time but if not what else could it be>
  3. yeah mate it turns out the trip button on the stalk is broken,i ordered a new one today
  4. thanks guys,i am having new rear shocks and springs and all the bushes and arms are bing done next week plus two rear wheel bearings and a diff oil change i will let you know if this solves my problem
  5. hi how do i bleed the clutch on my s type? where is the bleed nipple? someone told me i can get someone to pump the clutch then hold it down then i open the brake fluid cap, then put it back and get the person to pump the clutch again and repeat, but i would preffer to do it properly as i have a power bleeder
  6. hi well i bought some discs and pads for front and rear they came yesterday its a 54 plate sport s type i have 2.5v6 well i fitted the front disks and pads no problem i used new slider pins and boots with grease, well when i put it back toghether the car didnt want to move if you forced it the smoke from the front wheels was unreal! im a pretty compitent i have done the same job two years ago on this car i am wondering is there maybe a slight difference in the discs causing it to foul on something? i put them side to side they look the same. i am going to try clean up my old discs and put them on with the new pads and see if the discs are the issue if that fixes it im going to try the new rear discs to see if they work otherwise im just going to wire brush the rear discs as they have a lot of surface rust and use the new pads. if the discs are the issue im just going to buy a set of drilled and grooved ones instead have any of you ever heard of this happening?
  7. hi i have a 2005 s type i have basically every option on the car i have recently bought it and dont have a manual i am trying to find out if you can see the mpg and miles till empty and stuff like that on a screen in my car? i have tried all the trip buttons but all i can get is miles travelled and i can reset them a and b but nothing else surely a car of this price and as new has these features! i am starting to wonder if my trip button on the indicator stalk is broken?
  8. hi i am a first time jag owner i have a 2004 s type 2.5 v6 manual with 112k on the clock well the car drives fine but there is a very irritating bearing noise above 20mph and it gets louder till about 50 then doesnt get any louder just stays the same.i know the rear wheel bearings are done in pairs so could it be both wheel bearings? its just the noise sounds like its coming from the midddle rather than one side so i was thinking if its both sides it could sound as if its coming from the middle? i know the diff fluid should be done at 100k i dont know if its been done, but surely a diff wouldnt sound like a bearing? and there would be other issues it would be causing i would imagine but as i said the car drives fine apart from the irritating noise!
