  1. Good afternoon folks, I’m hoping to get some advice regarding wheels for my newly purchased 2008 XF. Here’s the back story, I travelled to Scotland last week from Northern Ireland to pick the car up, it seemed like a bargain so i knew I was in for a few surprises when I got her home. I’ve since found quite a few faults including the windscreen delaminating, the near side front window continually returning to the down position and only fully closing on the 3rd attempt, it takes 3 attempts every single time issues with the DPF, an extremely noisy engine and some cosmetic issues with the paint. My biggest problem at the minute are the wheels, it currently has alloys with 245/40/R19 tyres on them but a shaking steering has revealed that 3 of the alloys are buckled, and to add insult to injury one of the wheel studs has been rung through so that also needs replaced. The cost of repairing the wheels is a little crazy so I have had a look online for a replacement set and have located someone selling a set taken from an R sport Jag. Since it’s the sport version the two rear wheels are slightly wider than the front, the rear wheels are the same size as mine although are a slightly smaller alloy, they are 245/40/R18’s however the front wheels are 225/45/R18’s. my question is would they be suitable for my 2008 Jag XF luxury 2.7D. Any advice on this issue, or the other problems I pointed out, would be very great fully received. apologies for such a long winded post, just thought the back story might hold a few clues to the issues at hand. Thanks in advance, Ronnie Ps. For reference I have attached a photo of my black alloys which are currently on the car and the alloys that i am hoping will be suitable, the silver alloys.
