So I have been having a problem with the autolocking. Occasionally when it cuts in when you get to the end of the trip the doors refuse to open from the inside. So today I decided to deactivate it  using the method recommended on here. Just wanted to say it worked a treat ,probably saving me considerable amounts of  cash at a dealer.

Due to Covid have had to wait until this week to pick the car up, but well worth the wait. What a brilliant car to be in  !!!

Finally picked up the X type . What a lovely car to be in. The 3.0 engine with the manual gearbox and the sovereign interior is just what I hoped it would be. Great performance and a really enjoyable drive. I am so happy with it !!!!

Due to covid restrictions am not picking it up until this weekend . Am like a kid waiting for Christmas at the moment. !!😃

Help needed. Have recently bought my 3rd X type, a 2005 3.0 manual. Intermittently it shows "Cruise Control not available" but with no loss of power and no engine management light on.To be honest  I never use cruise control but am more worried if I am cooking a long term problem. Have always wanted a 3.0 manual  x type and a bit fed up that I am going to get the usual smug look and  "Told you so" face from my BMW loving neighbour.😏

Long time watcher,first time poster and useless computer skills. Having had 3 previous Jags,  a 2004 and a 2007 x type diesel 2.0 se's and a 2004 xk8 , today I bought my fourth- A 2005  X type 3.0 sovereign with a manual box. Pretty rare I think and I am so excited  I just had to post.
