  1. Hi there, my late father was a massive Jaguar enthusiast and left behind this magnificent solid silver 1955 D Type Jaguar which weighs in at an immense 2.8kg and measures 15cm L x 8cm W x 5cm height max. This stunning ornament has been beautifully handcrafted by ER Mindry in London in 1962 (hallmarked). (Please see photos). This famous sports car won Le Mans 24-hour race in 1955, 1956 and 1957. The iconic fin was added for the 1955 Le Mans race, to stabilise the car and this along with the aerodynamic superiority enabled maximum speeds of 172.8 mph on the Mulsanne Straight compared with the mechanically more powerful Ferraris at 160.1 mph. The aerodynamic body is the work of Malcolm Seyer who sat in the ‘bobtail’ D Type. Sadly it has lost a wheel which would need to be soldered back on but it is in otherwise amazing condition. This is the perfect gift or collectible for any Jaguar enthusiast! Please note this item is on multi sites and may be removed Located in HP8 Chalfont st Giles, Buckinghamshire Please contact me at defaultbox74@gmail.com should you have any queries. Thank you very much for reading.
