Hi all, One job leads to another with the car at this time, but it all part of owning an older car. After doing some work on her, I have seen that both my cam cover gaskets have a small leak, which I would like to get sorted out. The problem I have is finding them, and by that I mean on eBay there are not all the same shape etc. I have looked on other websites, but they do not stock them, so I can see which ones would be the correct for my car. Would someone have a photo of them they would kindly post or a link to where I can buy some please. I have 2.5 2002.5 facelift Thank you for any help you can give.

Hi all, I have an 2.5 v6 s type. There are no codes or lights on the dash, but I only have 1st and reverse gears. The car worked fine when last used 36hrs before. I am not sure what it could be as there are no codes. Can anyone please help. Thank you.

Hi, sorry to say, I could not find any front door stays that I would trust. A lot of x type on there. May have to buy one of the 10.99 new one for now and keep looking out for a better one.

Hi all, I have 2002.5 I am looking to find a broken part. The part is the door stay (hope that's what it is called) bracket bolted to the frame of the car. It is between the door hinges. I have looked on auto jag they have nothing as I think it's just one of those parts that is normally fine. Any help would be gratefully. Thank you

Hi all, just wanted to get the job done this time. I say that as I have seen there is an alloy gearbox pan cover. This costs about £125.00 and the filter kit is £56 when you do an oil change. Are they any good? Do they fit? Has anyone used one? What would your opinion be?

Hi all, just an update. Spoke to Mill autoquip today, and they put a service pack together and as they know I am a carer they did it at trade price so £140.59 cheaper than eBay. Booked in on the 15th Nov for this work and MOT. Thanks for your help!

Hi, just done some work on my 2002 2.5 and saw a leak from the seal on the gearbox. This is one of the jobs I have not yet done. The auto box works fine, but I will need to do this job soon! I would like to know the best place to get a Service kit from (pan, oil, filter etc). Any pointers would be gratefully received. I have seen kits on eBay, but am not sure about the oil they use. Thank you.

Hi John as you say both banks would have the problem that did happen, but it started with just the one bank, this did not last long before both banks showed up.

Hi with that code and what you have what done. Along shot, but have you checked the crankcase breather hose and vent? i had a P0420 code and that is what it was. Once replaced, code cleared. It maybe you have a small hole in it.

Hi all , with insurance if you have protected ncd . it is the amount of ncd (years) that is protected not the price . i.e the price will go up but the same amount of ncd will be applied to that price if you have it protected. Found this out after someone damaged my car while it was parked last year and drove off. Dash cam nextbase 522 with rear cam as well. this is a relly good set up as even when you are not ib the car it is able to look after it. when someone hits your car it turns on so hopefully you can get a reg number.
