  1. Many thanks for your advice. Will follow it and report results. At 80 I am reluctant to travel to our nearest Jaguar repair garage, so as a retired C.Eng. I will have another go as I can't leave the car in any public place. Have temporarily covered the window with a plastic sheet but can only use lock without alarm
  2. On Thursday 1st May (hottest day of the year so far), I opened the drivers side door window but found it would not close although I can hear the motor running both to open and close very briefly. Is it possible to remove the inner door panel to inspect the mechanism. With only 28,000 genuine miles on the clock from new, I can't think it is wear and tear. This is the first problem I have had in 10 years of ownership. Please advise.
  3. Being retired and in lock down due to Covid for 2 years, I have only used our car for hospital journey's and occasional runs to keep the battery charged and things moving. I felt it necessary to fill up with fuel for the first time in almost 2 years. unfortunately I put premium petrol in instead of diesel at my local garage. only put 16 lt in as it kept spitting back as I tried to fill. There was around quarter of a tank of diesel in. Drove around 1/2 mile home with no problem but saw on my receipt that I had put Ultra unleaded petrol in. I intend to get one of the specialist tank drainers to come out to my home as I feel driving to a service station could make things worse.
