  1. The simple ways are always the best .!!! Thanks again .
  2. Another discrepancy Jim. Europarts saying this is correct for my car, going off the Reg. Disc Dia. 355mm. While Jaginfo.org states all discs are the same size 326mm. Which do i believe???? regards Baz.
  3. Jim yet again thank you for a quick and useful reply, I've just watched a YouTube video of how to replace them, the only thing it didn't make clear is how to change over the wear sensor..does it just push out and then push back in again ? Regards Baz.
  4. Gentlemen, today my brake wear light has come on, so I need advice / recommendations for which make of pads to fit, I've seen some come with sensors some don't, is it good practice to replace discs at the same time? Are there any pitfalls I may encounter when changing them? Are there only sensors on the front brakes as they take the most punishment? Any advice, help or recommendations will be gratefully received. Regards Baz.
  5. When I needed a key for my discovery 3, I found some Timpsons key cutting booths, can cut and reprogram car keys...my local one didn't but one only 8 miles away did..though it wasn't cheap..£100+ if I remember right.. Worth a phone call to your local branch..
  6. Thanks for the info and link, the photo makes it all quite clear where the connectors are. Cheers chaps for all your help, very much appreciated.
  7. Hi guys, re my heated screen not working and the advice given..I've just watched a YouTube video of how to remove the A pillar trim..and I could clearly see a wiring loom going up the A pillar, but I failed to see any connectors..am I looking in the right place, ???
  8. Can I just ask gentlemen, do you access the connections from within the engine compartment, or do I have to take panels off inside the car..any pictures, diagrams to point me in the right direction would be very helpful..
  9. Once again thank you for your comments. It's just to cold and wet, to start lifting the bonnet at the moment. But as soon as its suitable, I'll be checking fuses and connections.. thanks for the advice..
  10. Thank you very much for the info...I'll look into it tomorrow...
  11. Hi all fellow members, I have a 2012 xf 3.0, and in these cold conditions only the drivers half of the front windscreen is defrosting. The passenger side stays frozen. Is this a possible know fault with the XF, is there a easy fix, any info advice will be extremely welcome. Regards Baz.
  12. Thanks John, is there a diagnostic tool you could recommend??
  13. Hi fellow members, I have a XF 2012, 3.o diesel. I've had the air con regassed and there was no leaks. But it doesn't blow cold, I've been told the compressor isn't engaging. And needs diagnosis work to find the reason. Is there any work I can do to diagnose the fault, where would I start. ? Any suggestions or solutions will be gratefully received. Regards Seabazz.
