I'm sorry but as you can see I'm new on here and there are probably posts about this already that I can't find. I have already posted a question about my older XJ 8 but I also have a problem with my turbo fan on my 2012 XJ L 3ltr twin. If you drive the car normally there are no problems at all but if you are in a hurry and boot it it goes into limp mode with a turbo fan fault. 2 questions. How do I know which one it is as only says turbo fan fault and is there a repair kit that I can get that I could fit myself?

I jumped started my 1998 XJ8 on the battery and now there is what sounds like an electronic ticking just to the right of the steering wheel plus the car is running really badly at low revs...it's a lot better at higher revs but not perfect. My question is have I damaged something electronic by jumping it? Or what else could the clicking be? The speed of the clicking goes faster when the revs go up.
