  1. Hi, I am new to forums so please forgive me if I am not using the format properly. I see above that tags are required but I don't know what that means so hopefully I can just press on with my question. I have a pre facelift 2011 Jaguar XF 3ltr V6 diesel. A few weeks after I bought it, the water in fuel warning came on so I bought a new fuel filter but after fitting it the light stayed on so I bought a new water sensor and fitted that but the warning light still came on. I emptied the filter, cleaned the contacts on the sensor and on the electrical connector and refitted the wiring. This time the warning light stayed off. I thought I had cured the problem but after a few months the light is back on again. Has anyone got any info about what the problem might be and how to fix it. Many thanks in advance.
