hello i have a 1996 xk8 my throttle body had a loud click on turning the key. seemed to be getting nowhere,so purchased another one. this one i put on the car,and no click.....i thought,i cracked it.within minutes the clicking started,but this time it did not stop it just clicking all the time. one thing i did notice while it was clicking the car would start,albeit runs very rough,but if i keep blipping the pedal it will go on running. i then pull one of the plugs off on the side of the throttle body,then plug it back in until i can stop the clicking,will not start.get the clicking back and will start but again runs rough.HELP.

when i turn the key in my 1996 xk8 i get a quite a loud click.coming from the throttle body.i changed it about a year ago.the car is still having work on so not been on the road yet. i was starting it from time to time,as you do.today i thought,nice day put the old one back on to see what happens. exactly the same click.anyone got a solution??? please.
