Hello, my name is Armin, sorry for my bad english, but I am german. I am driving now for two years a Jaguar X-Type 2.2 D, 2008. A fine car, but two month ago suddenly the engine-error message came up. I checked the OBD and found the error-code 487 (EGR-valve), the engine runs without problems. My garage changed the EGR-valve, but the light is still on. But now in a different way: once and a while it goes off itself for about 10 - 200 miles, comes back then for 10-200 miles and so on. My garage does not know what to do.Is it possible that a reset of the system is necessary, if so how? Does anyone have an idea what to do? Thanks for you answers! Regards -- Armin
