  1. Up date on my x type heating problem. The fault was traced back to a duff blend flap motor, now i have the car back from the dealer with a new motor fitted and the car is as warm as toast. Now to enjoy many miles of warm motoring.
  2. My name is Mike, I am now an owner of a 06 plate x type estate. Over all I am very happy with my purchase, despite the car over heating on the test drive ! ( faulty thermostat ). That fixed along with a slight water leak on the top hose, I was happy bunny. But now found out that the heater won't work properly.it just keeps blowing in cold air into the car. I have disconnecting the battery and vise versa, no joy. Had the car diagnosed, two related faults came up and had it cleared and reset, no luck there. I have read that the blend flap could be at fault, I have heard the flap move some times but you can hear its action is not smooth. The heater does work as it should but only on the odd occation. So at this point I give up, the car is going back to the dealer to be fixed (it is under warranty so that's one bill I won't have to pay). I will report again when it fixed, hopefully my experience will help some body in the same boat.
