Just wanted to say thanks to everyone on this thread and add a few pics of the old and new part, together with the fault code that I had on my cheap ODB car scanner app.
You could probably do everything with the front wheel off and the wheel liner pushed out of the way. I did take the air box out first but there is no way to get the part out from the top. It did give a me a bit more light to work, especially as the wiring and harness clips were a pain to remove.
The fault code cleared by itself after I started the car with the new part.
