Thanks Dave. Yes, that is how I locked my old car when the dog was in there but it doesn't work with this car. So far every-one I have spoken to has said it is not possible and if my Chihuaua is in the car I have to leave the car unlocked. This sounds a totaly ridiculous and outrageous solution to her setting the alarm off. She could be stolen. I have also phoned Jaguar and their response was for me to not have my dog in the car which is not even an option I would consider. I have asked various garages if they can disconnet the alarm completely but have been told this could interfere wth the central locking system. I am getting increasingly frustrated now. I cannot be the first Jaguar owner that takes their dog everywhere with them so does every-one else just leave the car unlocked?
