Can anyone help. I have a 98 XJ8 4.0 with a heater problem. The a/c has been checked, re gassed and is working ok. Blowing out cold almost instantly. However, as soon as the engine reaches a normal temperature there is no control of the interior temperature. The system only blows hot air even with the a/c at its lowest. The heat becomes unbearable after about 10 minutes and we have to open the windows. This occurs regardless of the outside temperature. So even on a cold night the heater is red hot.
