Unexploded Time Bombs
Welcome Peter, Are you saying that you are having problems, or just worried what might happen, as it is from a dealer should be under warranty, also you could take out a warranty out so you are not left with an expensive bills, but do reviews on warranty companies

A good club could be a great club
+1 Also some people join because they have a problem or want advice, when it is given, they never get back, so we do not know whether the problem or advice was useful, has to work two ways, enjoy the forum.

Looking to realise the dream!!
Welcome, Enjoy to the forum, I would suggest you take someone with you who knows Jags as they can be expensive to repair, normally better to pay for a dearer model, usual things to look for are the condition of the car, will let you know if the car has been looked after, defo for a full service history, preferably main dealer, check tyres for wear as they are dear to replace, take it for a long test drive, check auto box with kick down etc, play in manual box etc.

Trying to buy a mid nineties xj6, any advice?
Welcome Ian, Good luck with finding your car, try and find someone who knows about Jags as if things go wrong, expensive to repair, usual things FSH, preferably main dealer, spending more in the beginning could cost you less in the long run.

xtype electrical fault
Welcome Shaun, Enjoy the forum, the alarm could either water has got in to the an alarm sensor or with the problems with the interior lights is either a bad earth or a wire loose or not connected correctly, causing the battery to drain, hence why the alarm goes off, I would check the interior lights first then follow it to you locate the problem, or take the car to an auto electrician., good luck
