Welcome, Enjoy to the forum, I would suggest you take someone with you who knows Jags as they can be expensive to repair, normally better to pay for a dearer model, usual things to look for are the condition of the car, will let you know if the car has been looked after, defo for a full service history, preferably main dealer, check tyres for wear as they are dear to replace, take it for a long test drive, check auto box with kick down etc, play in manual box etc.

  21. Welcome Ian, Good luck with finding your car, try and find someone who knows about Jags as if things go wrong, expensive to repair, usual things FSH, preferably main dealer, spending more in the beginning could cost you less in the long run.

Welcome Shaun, Enjoy the forum, the alarm could either water has got in to the an alarm sensor or with the problems with the interior lights is either a bad earth or a wire loose or not connected correctly, causing the battery to drain, hence why the alarm goes off, I would check the interior lights first then follow it to you locate the problem, or take the car to an auto electrician., good luck
