  1. Further to this sensor episode at last we have some information,it would appear that the sensor which have been in question are-Bank 1 sensor 1 and bank one sensor 2,but just to throw a spanner in the works,as far as i can remember i was told that when i had a twin sports exhaust fitted that this would do this, there is no drop in performance i had it up to 110 mph the other day with much more left.any ideas or change them and suck it and see?

  2. Ok,there might be more truth in that statement than you think, there"s been quiet a few unanswered question that are gentle left and moved on to another planet, ive just spoke to them again and the bloke who answered the phone even thought it was odd that the fault codes were not recorded on the bill, only wide band sensors failed, also the garage gentleman said i might have to bring the car back to do it again,to which i said have a got to pay again?to which i was told he might have written it down somewhere,i am a bit concerned now that the other jobs were carried out, gear box, brake fluids changed, drain and flush the coolant,it might be easier if i go up to Mark in Leeds and take up his offer,

  3. Thats a great help and i will probably take you up on that if i can get the full details,i will see him tomorrow, the bill he gave me just said two wide range sensors, thats what made me think,i will put the code details up on here it could help someone else with the same fault codes, like Peter said thats seem a very fair price, can you let me know your location and we can sort out a visit,

  4. Hello Peter,They seemed to keep the codes close to their chest,i will go down and see them and see if they will pass them on to me i did pay for them,i will look into a code reader for my self,i dont have a problem paying for the job it just seemed very high for that type of job, thanks for you help.

  5. Hi.I could do with a little advice,i had my engine warning light came on so i found a garage with the correct gear to read the computer faults, after emptying my wallet they informed me that i had two of four oxygen sensors faulty,as i always get the faults repaired asap i asked for a quote but when they said £300.00 i thought that it was a bit pricey,i can not check them or get near to the problem as i am now disabled so i am reliant on garages being honest, would anyone have a clue if this sounds right, this is not a main dealer i think, because i am a ex forces  i tend to trust to quickly, thanks for any help.the said these were i think Wide range oxygen sensors?

  6. Hello,Its great to see club members getting involved, after leaving the forces i have found a fair few clubs try to arrange club functions and when the time comes to show up theres a sudden lack of interest,it is nice to see some commitment,i am disabled now and can not manage many club activities but my one passion is Jaguars and i dont have to walk far, great, see you all in September. :)

  7. Hi mate.i know from living in Plymouth for many years that there is a great second hand market there are plenty of second hand dealers on line where you can get the parts to your door step.if it gets you going then you can buy new parts in time, most none dealership garages charge a fair price so it may not be as expensive as you think,we rebuilt an old x type jag and all the parts were from second hand parts bought on line with gaurantes and we are both disabled.

  8. Hi there.Well mate mines a 2.1 v6 sport and we"ve done 116k and ive just done a 1200 mile trip and it never missed a beat,i had a mot yesterday and i found with mine being a 2002 that that year the sills were bad and mine need to be changed, thats my next project.a mate of mine has a 2003 and his sills are a bit nasty, the only other issues i have come across is calipers, the pistons seem to stick up,and thats all mine has ever had it pulls like a train the Oil never gets blackened, and the cooling system does not get dirty.but have a good check of your sills,if thats any help.
