  1. Hello Tom, Welcome to Jaguar Owners Club. Sounds a good deal at £3800. Good idea to get the routine maintenance done early gives you peace of mind knowing its been taken care of. Glad you are happy with your purchase. Older cars always have little niggles to sort out. I have just bought a 2003 XJ needs few little bits, mainly cosmetic, but lovely car. Best Regards, Julie,
  2. Hi, Does any one know please if the original phone in a 2003 xj be used? do you convert it to blue tooth? is this possible? Any ideas please? I have been told its in working order . Thank you.
  3. Forgot to ask is there any water damp in boot? that can cause problems
  4. Hi Malcolm, My XF used to do strange things, codes flashing up, alarm going off because I was not driving it enough. Do you use it on a regular basis? you could check battery, check no water in boot causing problems with wiring , check relays are any loose? these seem to be common problems that owners have quite frequently. Kind Regards, Julie.
  5. Hi Jason, Welcome to the Jaguar Owners Club. I see your are in Wales, I am in North wales, I did have an XF now have XJ. They are beautiful cars. You have done what I would have done to solve problem, when did you buy it? did you buy from dealer? I would take it back if you did and ask them to diagnose the problem. May be some sort of wiring problem, a break some where? I am sure one of the other owners can help you. Kind Regards, Julie.
  6. Hi Malc, Welcome to the Jaguar Owners club. XF `s do have electrical niggles, If not wiring loom, could check battery? My XF had intermittent faults as I did not drive it much but after a good drive it would be fine. i am sure one of the others owners can help. Kind Regards, Julie.
  7. Well i missed not having a Jaguar. L came across this car, bought it from local business owner. He has spent a lot of money on it. He has kindly put a new mot on today and a new track rod end- that was the only advisory. When i drove it i loved it it glides. I love older cars. It needs a few little cosmetic touches bit wear drivers seat, but that`s expected. a new silver strip on bumper - priced already at SNG. I loved it soon as i got in, it just feels so comfortable, I actually enjoyed driving it more than the Xf L had. any tips on maintenance very welcome. I believe i have now found the car i will keep for a good few years and its lpg / petrol as well can get 240 miles to £30. julie.
