Hi, My 1999 S Type it heats up very quickly to 1/2 way but stays there never goes any higher. Even after a journey of a few miles and when I stop the Fan stays on for a while. I read the manual and I know it will continue to run for a while but is this normal after say 3 - 5 miles? Thank you. J

Hi Peter, Will try that. These electrical gadgets can be so useful but as you say rather mysterious and a bit of a pain when they go wrong. Cars many years ago, before the computer age, could be fixed easily at home in most cases. My Father did all his own repairs. Regards, Julie.

Hi, I have not long bought a 1999 S type. It drives well but traction control message came on when driving up Motorway. It stops fine all levels OK. Is this a common fault with the sensors? Also when backing up occasionally when I pull forward rattle for a short time from the back by exhaust do you think this is just because it may be a little loose? Any ideas welcome. Cheers, Julie.
