  1. Hi all, as a new member to this forum I am unsure where to find whether this topic has previously been covered. It does not seem to matter whether the engine is cold or hot but the engine cranks for a long time before firing. Sometimes it may take 4 or 5 goes to get the car going. A Jaguar expert has had the car and found no fault codes. The fuel pressure readings are as expected. A new crankshaft sensor and temperature sensor has ben fitted. Cleaning various electric contacts cured the problem for a couple of weeks but then reverted to poor starting. The expert says he is stumped and does not know where to check next. Is this a common problem with this model? Any suggestions would be gratefully received. Cheers Tony
