2002 xtype headlight failure
Have you checked fuse 67 in the passenger fuse box? Top right hand side. 5 amp. It feeds the relay that controls the lights amongst other things.

Switched feed in the boot
Getting Déjà vu. lol

Switched feed in the boot
You should have a connector fastened to the rear of the car behind the carpet near the rear lights. 3 connectors Positive, Negative and switched Positive. I think you may need to fit another relay into the passenger side fuse box to make the switched live active. Thinking of changing to 16" wheels
I've had 16's and 18's on both my se and sport. I found the 16's to spongy on the se but ok on the sport. The 18's are hard on both cars. Am in the market for a set of 17's

A couple of questions
A 50/50 remap is the safer remap. 70/30 remap will make you go quicker but your engine and fuel economy will suffer.

17" Barbados Alloy
Have you tried bertieboy9 on here. PM him he may have one. He's based in Leeds.

A couple of questions
Sorry for late reply. Don't go for a tuning box. Get a 50/50 remap. It will increase your mpg and the performance. As for the horns. I can't remember where there at, but I have seen them.

LED Foglights
Yes, that's the one.
-
poor headlights?
HID conversion is the way to go. Haven't had any trouble passing an MOT with mine. Bertieboy9 has refurbished head lights with the HID kit already fitted. Give him a PM.
-
LED Foglights
Other way to do it, if I remember correctly, is to run them off the connector off the back of the battery box.

Fog Lights
Sorry for not getting back sooner. I'm using them as DRLs.

Fog Lights
I have some 15 leds that I'm going to upgrade to but it means butchering a set of fog lights I have.
-
Fog Lights
What led's did you fit? I have 9 in mine but may upgrade.

Try this first 1 Open drivers door 2 Turn ignition switch to position 1 then 2 four times. You will hear a chime. 3 Turn the ignition off and remove the key 4 Press a key on the key fob within ten seconds (unlock is a good one) You should hear a chime. 5 If you want any other key fobs programmed just press a button and listen for the chime. Max of four can be programmed. 6 Close the door. 7 Check to see if it has worked. Good look

Unable to open the boot
Good to hear you got it sorted and at a good price too.
-
Unable to open the boot
Did you stop the car using the hand brake instead of the foot brake. I know daft question but it does stop you opening the boot from the key fob or the button. The other thing is the little flap on the ignition barrel has stuck open so thinks the key is still in the ignition. Put something on the carpet under the ignition and spray it with wd40. It should free the flap off and the boot will work again.

X type in limp mode
It might be, but it could be a lot of other things as well.
-
X type in limp mode
It could be a dodgy injector. But to get a better idea you need the pending codes read and, or a leak off test done.

Performance
These engine are at about there peek. You could put a KN air filter kit and bigger exhaust but you would only gain 5 to 10 BHP if that. The piping from the engine to the exhaust is the bottleneck.

Lock beep
Sorry, don't think so. Not on a standard set up. I can tell if my cars actually locked because the mirrors automatically fold in on double lock, but that's a modification I have done with a relay and a couple of wires :)
-
Lock beep
What beep? As far as I know the car only beeps if a door is still open when you try to lock it.

Key Fob Problems X-type help
Does sound like a faulty stalk. If you can't fix it give bertieboy9 a pm. He will probably have one at a reasonable price.

Press the button on the end of the left hand stalk? -_- ;)
