    Hi Andy

I have the same year as you, and I don't have a heated front screen, I'm pretty sure they were optional, I am presuming you don't have the satnav, if you do I don't know where the button would be. image from JaguarClimateControl.com

    Hope this helps

Thanks for this Steve. I now know that I don't have a heated front screen. (or sat nav!) :yahoo: I just need to find out if the windscreen is heated where the wipers come to rest now. I don't know whether this would be automatic or via a manual switch.

  2. Hi everyone. I have a 20cm crack in my windscreen, going from top to bottom on the drivers side. I contacted Autoglass for a quote & they sent this reply: " Is the windscreen heated where the wipers come to rest? If no, is the windscreen heated? If no, do you have a rear view mirror attached to the windscreen or a fitting for one?"

How would I know if it's heated where the wipers come to rest or if the windscreen's heated? I can obviously see that the rear view mirror is attached to the windscreen, but the heated windscreen...
I need to get this right, or I could be opening a big can of worms!

I contacted Jaguar, when I bought the car 6 months ago & they told me that there were no added extras on my car. Was the heated wiper/ windscreen an added extra option or were they standard on all S-Types in 2003?

I appreciate any help that you can give to me.

  3. I wonder if anyone has any knowledge or experience on this. I want to replace the brake discs front & rear on my 2003 S-Type 3.0 Sport. I contacted a company on line, giving them my registration number & VIN. They replied that there are two different makes for my braking system. One is LUCAS & the other is TEVES, & it is important to know which ones I have fitted. My question is, are they radically different? How do I find which ones I have?

  4. Good afternoon fellow Jag fanatics,
Does anyone know what has caused this problem? I changed the 3 spark plugs on the drivers side bank (underneath the intake manifold) a few weeks ago & everything was fine. Yesterday, I changed the 3 plugs on the passenger side. (the easy ones) She ran just fine for around 20 miles, now I'm getting up to 3,000 rpm & she's coughing & spluttering. I can't see why & need your thoughts on this, PLEASE...

  5. Hi. Does anyone know which fuse is for the puddle/door light? I changed a Bulb & lost power to both of them, so I presume it's a fuse. Is it in the fusebox under the bonnet, boot or in the cockpit? I have the electrical guide, with a plan for all 3 boxes, but it doesn't tell me which number fuse is for the door lights.

  6. Thanks everyone, I am taking Michael's advice & buying new gaskets. Has anyone done this before? If you have, which gasket is it? There's a Jaguar S Type Inlet Manifold Gasket XR843536 & a Jaguar S Type Upper Inlet Manifold Gasket XR85294.. Both at Berkshire Jag Components. Or on Flea Bay .JAGUAR S-TYPE 3.0 V6 INLET MANIFOLD GASKET. PART- XR85398...
