    Requirement of an immobiliser wasn't mentioned on the call at all, but when I downloaded the docs, it said I needed a Thatcham category 1 fitted - and no idea what 1 is or if the car has one. Need to call them to discuss as don't want to collect/drive if policy will be void.

    Thanks for the post.

    We have insurers that will consider every risk on it's individual merits regardless of it's overall profile, whether it be young drivers on high performance cars, people in the public eye such as celebrities or sports persons or drivers with a number of claims or convictions. It's certainly not a one size fits all approach.

    We like to believe that wherever possible no one is un-insurable but whether a client is willing or able to afford such premiums is another matter.

    With the UK in coronavirus lockdown many people are asking what help their insurance provider can provide in these trying times.

     

    Adrian Flux has a special relationship with the Jaguar Owners Club and here we answer some of your coronavirus insurance questions.

     

    Is Adrian Flux still open for business? 

     

    We are still available to take your calls and respond to emails. Our opening hours remain the same and you can still use the website to request policy changes and access policy information. 

     

    Can I still change my Jaguar motor insurance policy?

     

     Yes, we are still here to help with your queries or you can use MyAdrianFlux to access and change your policy.

     

     I have been advised to self isolate. Can I pause my motor insurance?

     

     It is a legal requirement to have valid car insurance unless your car is registered as off the road. Therefore we aren't able to “pause” your policy; it must be active or cancelled. 

     

    Cars can be damaged by accident or fire and they can be targeted by thieves even when unused and parked on private property so you may find it cost-effective to convert to laid-up insurance cover. 

     

    If you take laid-up cover while you fine tune your Jaguar for the show season it will remain protected but the policies are cheaper because there is no third party risk. 

     

    Doctors have advised me to self isolate. Am I still covered to drive? 

     

    You will still be covered to drive but we advise against driving during the lockdown unless absolutely essential, especially if you are showing symptoms which could impair your ability.

    Just to let you know we are still very much open and hopefully its business as usual wherever possible.

    As from Monday our quotes team will be on hand for any new quotations as per the below :-

    Monday – Friday 9 am – 6 pm
    Saturday – 9 am – 4 pm
    Sunday 10 am -2 pm

    Currently our service teams opening hours for existing clients are unaffected.
