Hi all

Joined last night after browsing for the past couple of weeks and finding some invaluable info. I have had my 2008 XF 2.7D for 6 month's now and love the thing to bits, I have had quite a few jags from the XJ40 up untill recent X types and wouldn't drive anything else. My car has a set of 18" venus fitted that have definately seen better days so I am looking to replace them with some 19" of the same style, I have scoured Ebay etc and cant find anything suitable so was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction (not main dealer) or had some for sale. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mark.

Welcome t the Club, Mark.

I am no expert on allow wheels, but Gumtree can be useful.  There is also a company called "Wheelbase" which has an online site that might be able to assist.

There are also companies who are very good at refurbishing allow wheels, and there  indeed a company who will give a discount to Club Members called "Rimfurbish".

Regards,

Peter.

Hi Peter and thanks for the info, I will look into Wheelbase and see what they have. My only issue with refurbishment is the time it will take as I need my car daily for work as I live out in the sticks, on a positive note finally got a spacesaver sorted out last night from ebay (£132 including tools and jack) so a vast improvement on main dealer quote of £400 for wheel alone. Cant help but feel a bit disapointed at times with main dealers but owning this marque is definately worth the effort.

Regards,

Mark.

Thanks for the info Charlie, only realised yesterday when I picked up my spacesaver that XK wheels were compatible with my XF so that opens up a few more doors in terms of buying. I am also led to believe that the XJ wheels will also fit so I have re started my search. I am considering 19 or 20 inch but have read on another forum that the ride will be compromised with the 20's given the low profile, my current set have a profile of 45 which I would like to keep but dont know how they would look so I suppose a good compromise would be 19". Jag land in Irchester seem to have quite a few set's so I will probably head down there on my days off through the week, once again thanks for the info. Cheers, mark

no bother at all mark were only glad to help on the site both peter&trevor are old hands and have plenty exp as well as the other members . whom ever you get a set from get them to try one one the car first just to make sure they fit on take a jack with you thats what we did. regards charlie
