Just got hold of my first ever Jag, a lovely S type R 2002 with 43300 miles on the clock. Coming from a Lexus IS300 it is in another league especially performance :))))))

Hope to chat to you lot over the course of the next few years lol

Andy

HI Andy and Croeso (Welcome) obviously croeso is Welsh for welcome. Hope you enjoy your Jaguar experience, I've only recently joined myself crossing over from Mercedes however, all that I have come in contact with have appeared friendly.

I have that to find out also Andy, my last motor AMG I had for 11 years and the reliability could not be faulted. So the XKR has got to live up to an high standard.

Welcome to the Club, Andrew.

The S type is a great car to drive, either quickly or slowly, and I hope you enjoy the Jaguar experience.

The Lexus is a Luxury Export to the US.  Allegedly said at a meeting of the  Toyota USA management to determine the name of the new product. Written on the back of an envelope by a secretary and then sent to Japan.

Regards,

Peter.

Afternoon my good man,

and welcome to the JOC, which seems like a very nice place to be, as does a Jag.

I'm sure you'll enjoy your venture as you are already alluding to, personally I think they (Jag) hit the spot perfectly, fast or slow quite amazing...

cheers for now

once again welcome

Maybe because we have all become concious of the Safety Scamera Partnership and brown envelopes

Andrew, the s type is a nice car to drive and it can be driven slowly and sedately, as well as quickly and safely. Your 4.2R is very quick, and can see off most other cars on the road   ---   if you want   ---  but even my rather slower 2.7D can attract a brown envelope with a suggestion that I attend a speed awareness course next week. Apparently they have also taken a nice photograph  of me driving it on the A5.

Hope you are not having a go at those nice Scamera Men again Peter? Did you know the Safety Scamera Partnership employ Civilian Operators to hide in the back of their vans? Are you aware that it must and I use the word'MUST' be a serving officer to collect evidence therefore, any evidence collected against you from a civilian operator would be deemed null and void in a court of law

It was a fixed camera on an average speed check, Kenny, but I never saw it was a 40 mph limit, and neither did my wife.  I assumed [!Removed! u me] that as it was all dual carriageway the limit would be 50 mph.

Peter.
