RH Brake light failure

Featured Replies

I've got a RH Brake light failure message up.

However, its not the bulb or a fuse  as the bulb lights up but very dim.

Any Ideas??

Welcome to the club, Roy.

I would be inclined to change the bulb. It it is dim it is failing.

I hope you enjoy the club.  There are lot of friendly people to exchange  information with.

Regards,

Peter.

You can guarantee 90% of automotive electrical problems are associated with 'EARTHING' although with light failure sensors there is usually an electronic box involved which works with a resistance value. I have had this problem in the past and swapped the sensor with the other side as a test procedure. But then I'm only an Electrical Engineer auto electrical is something different with the Management Software getting involved.
