Hello,

My S type centre console has two LED displays. The lower of the two shows details of the sound system and clock display however the back light which enables you to read the display in the dark has failed. Please can anyone advise if it is a Bulb which need changing or is it a fault with the whole display?

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the Club, Harvey.

Check both the Bulb and the fuse, and then the connections.  My S type has the touch screen which is a bit different than your centre console.

If the above are OK,  I am a bit mystified, and can only assume that there a fault with the display itself.

But one thing you should always check with a sophisticated car like the Jaguar is the battery, as when the battery starts to fail or is losing power, the minor things stop working first.

Regards,

Peter.

Thank you. The display has all the information on it which is readable in daylight but the Bulb has gone so low light is a problem. It looks like a major job to get the console out of the dash. The LCD above is ok as are all the other dashboard lamps so i reckon it is just the Bulb. have you any idea how to remove the console?
