Hi

My reversing lights and park aid stopped working at the same time. Are they in any way connected? I have checked the fuses and they are ok. A day before this happened I put the car through a car wash which normally doesn't affect the the park aid sensors.

I would be grateful for any ideas or advice

Thanks

James

Hi James,

I think there must be a bit of water ingress.  Car washes and an electric fault together point in the same direction.

I suggest a quirt of WD40 around the area of the connections.

Regards,

Peter.

Thanks Peter, I'll give it  a go!

Dito, that of Peter, the high pressure through the was must have had some ingress into the parking sensor. I would also suggest encapsulating the electronics within the box with silicon or the like in order that the same situation is not repeated.
