Hi looking for help I have an XF Sport however the rear view mirror is a manual dip and it bugs the life out of me. So I bought a auto dim version off EBAY however I can't find any wiring in or around the light console in the roof. Has anybody fitted one and if so how did they wire it in?

Regards

Welcome to the club, Richard.

The auto dim is a wonderful invention and well worth having. I have it on my s type.

There are some members who will know how to do what you will need to do.

Good Luck,

Peter.

Hi there,

Unfortunately I'm not sure it will be as easy as you're expecting. I'm still getting to know Jag as a new owner myself, but from retro fitting things on other cars, you'll need to work out how much of the loom you need, aquire that and fit it, and then have a dealer or someone with relevant software enable it in the ecu. Not sure which module it's part of.

It might be as simple as getting power to it though, can you see how many wires should be connected to it? If there's only two you might be lucky, if there are more then it's probably part of the CANBUS.

Any new advice also welcome!

BTW. Just bought my first Jag, so looking forward to it!
