Hi all,

I'm Ross from Falkirk, I'm 28 and im new to this site and to the XF world. As it stands i have 5 cars so this is a good addition to the fleet, i work offshore in the north sea as an instrument tech and have recently just gave up racing stock cars so time for a bit of luxury,

My car is a 2014 XF R-SPORT sportbrake 2.2 diesel in grey, I have pictures but not sure if I'm allowed to post them in this thread or not so if not please remove them,

Thanks

Ross

Welcome to the Club, Ross.

The Club members welcome photos of other members cars,  as well as their experiences.

I had a ride in a Sportbrake just after it came out and was very impressed.  My son would like to buy one so he can borrow it, but, being a pensioner of advanced years, I would prefer him or buy one so I could borrow it.

Regards,

Peter.

Thanks Peter, i am 28 but all my mates slag me off for having an old mans car now lol

Hi Ross,

The only reason that many young people think that a Jaguar is an old persons car is that many young people think that they are a bit sedate.  I would have loved a Jaguar when I was your age but the Mark 2 was too expensive  ---  I was buying a house which cost much less than a Mark 2.

Add to that, many young people do not have the skills to drive a Jaguar, which are usually very quick cars.  My rather sedate S Type has the 2.7 diesel, with a fast button and twin turbos and has fierce acceleration when the second turbo cuts in at 2000 rpm.

Just tell that to your mates!

Regards,

Peter.
