Hi Trevor,

I have never had a water leak other than a water pump failure on my wife's Viva HC, and a leaky radiator on mt Rover Sterling years ago.

Talcum powder used to stop a leak at one time!!

Regards,

Peter.

Hi Trevor,

I have used it in my Series 1 XJ6 2.8 after it developed Leaky water pump after the pump had already been reconditioned twice and I was unable to find a new one. It took many months but eventually must have worked it's way around the system as since then it's stopped leaking ! Been dry a couple of years now and still looking for a new water pump (2.8 pumps are rare).

Several people in the trade have recommended k-seal as the best.

Also tried it in a 1993 7 series BMW when the head gasket went but had no effect (but to be fair I don't think it's designed to cure leaky head gaskets). Did notice a new product recently on the counter at a motor factors that claims to fix leaks including head gaskets sorry can't remember the name but the motor factors was a chain - car parts direct.

Cheers

Alec

Used it a few times it is good stuff, if K seal doesn't cure it then you have to change the part/s.

I would never put any self sealing additive into the cooling system, they tend to congeal around the leak and can restrict flow, possibly causing overheating. It's always better to cure the problem, in my opinion. But then, I am an engineer and don't like broken things.
