Key fob case

I bought a very nice used XF the other week and one of the few niggles is that the chrome plating on the key fob is peeling badly.

Is it possible to get a replacement case? The electronics are fine and I'm assuming it would be easy enough to swap over the internals.

Anyone done this?

Ebay will turn up a case for you,  I replaced the bit of the   case which shows the characters on the buttons, so I don't think it will be too difficult to replace the whole case.  I did it several times on a Rover Sterling.

Cheers, I've found a few on eBay but it looks like it's possible to get a whole remote for not a lot more elsewhere on the net. Maybe I need to research how to chrome plate plastic? ;-)
