My heater has always been very slow to heat cabin and digital temp panel is always showing 10, during summer as well

Hi Brian, 

 

Is your car a diesel?  If so, I could point you in the direction of the auxiliary heater which really helps the cabin get up  to the temperature you want.

 

If petrol, it does take longer than normal is very cold weather.

 

The digital display which tells you the external temperature must depend on a sensor somewhere -- I guess!
