Do the letters and numbers on the back of the Service manual for the S Type have anything to do with a radio code

Posted

Nothing on the back of my service manual, Rodger.

I don't think that the Radio code is printed in any of the  Jaguar manuals.

It is written in the front of my service manual by by the main dealer.

Hi Rodger, I may be a bit late with this as you may have it sorted, but the letters and numbers on the back of the Audio System Handbook do not relate to the radio code. If you do not know the code and require it, it can be obtained from a Jaguar dealer, but you must provide proof of ownership of the car. Otherwise I am sure there are people out there somewhere who can do it for you by some clever means, unfortunately I am not one of them.

Best wishes

Geoff.

Thanks for all the input on radio codes.Phoned local Jag dealer who quoted 30GBP to obtain from Jag. Am going to try the website " Radio codes " at 2.99 GBP and will let you know how it turns out.

Hi Rodger

I had a similar issue, I bought an stype with no radio code. You don't need to spend any money just press the following buttons. >>, AMEM, PTY together and your radio will work, this worked for me

Regards

Rob
