first post, first problem. Bought my first xtype on a 57 plate, 2.0d. Not sure I bought a good one. First mystery, radio volume is constant if I don't fiddle but if I turn the volume knob volume goes up or down regardless of which way I turn it. Any ideas?

Strange radio problem!  Try resetting the sound controls  via the touchscreen if fitted.

 

Otherwise, there will be some x type owners who might have an answer.

Thanks for coming back, I don't have touch screen and can't see a reset option.  I have turned off the auto volume.  It doesn't matter if I turn the volume knob left or right the volume will go up or down as it likes.  Everything else on then radio appears to work as advertised.  This is only one of the things starting to concern me about the purchase! 

You can get a replacement radio easily enough, £70 on eBay

Yes, thanks.  looks like the steering wheel control is OK so I need to remember its there!!
