I have a 2009 X type .

It seems that every time that I have the fuel tank full or almost... I can always hear the fuel splashing inside the fuel tank whenever I accelerate  or decelerate . Is rhis normal ?

Hi Newroshina, and welcome to the club.

I have not come across this rather curious issue.  Fuel must move slightly in the tank and I always thought that there were baffles in the tank to control this slightly.  I do believe that Jaguar now use plastic tanks instead of the coated steel tanks formerly used.

I think that it is possible that some of the soundproofing round the tank could have been disturbed which is designed to prevent exterior noise getting into the cabin. It might be worth checking it out.

Regards,

Peter.
