Hello!

I've just bought an X-type, 3.0 V6. The car is absolutely amazing, but within a couple of days I've had an intermittent fault appearing with the rev counter. During this fault the needle will display a value lower than the current revs. When idling it shows no revs at all. This is all accompanied by clicking sounds coming from the front of the car. From what I've read elsewhere I believe this to be a fault with the instrument cluster. Has anybody had similar problems? What are the possible fixes?

Thanks!

Liam

Welcome to the Club, Liam.

I have not come across that issue, but there are members who might have.

I have been told that a clicking noise could be a sensor.

Regards,

Peter.
