S Type CD player

A friend of mine has just brought a 2001 S Type, it has a radio and casset and a cd button on the radio but it has no cd changer in the boot, and I cannot find the cable for the changer anywhere, surely Jag would not put a cd radio in a car with no changer unless I am looking in the wrong place or someone has removed the change cable which I doupt very much.

If it's a 2001 and has the old, mk1 stereo then it'll be in the glove box.

If it's the facelift mk2 type then it's in the left side of the boot taped to the loom up behind the rear light.
