front lower ball joints

Featured Replies

Hi anyone know if you can change the front lower ball joints or do u have to buy the compleat lower link arm on a 05 model (£300+ from jaguar)

Hi Thomas

I looked it up and==

It tells me in the S type manual that -"The lower ball joint is serviceable and is a press fit" .???

It says that the lower control arm -Is mounted with one Hydro-bush [the front one] and a rubber bush

both are seviceable.???

But the upper control arm you have to purchase the complete arm.????

I hope this helps.

Frank

You will need a wedge type ball joint splitter to remove the joint Thomas, quite reasonable from Euro Car Parts
