I tend to drive away with the EHB engaged as it automatically dis-engages as soon as the car starts to move, rather than putting my foot on the footbrake and then depressing the EHB lever.

I was told today that such an action is a big no no but with no adequate explanation as to why.

What are people's opinions please?

It's a feature that's explained in the handbook so I see no reason to not use it.

I've got a manual car so don't have the feature but I had an auto vauxhall insignia a couple of years ago that had it and it worked fine every time.

Who said its a no no by the way??

Say no more.

Probably never had a car with the feature.

Got you thinking what exactly??

It's the manual saying auto release with drive off function.
