Hi Dave, and welcome to the club.

I have never had that problem.  Where dose the buzz come from and is the radio on?

Is there any warning notification?

As you say, there is nothing in the book.

Hopefully, we will be able to sort it out.

Regards,

Peter.

Reversing sensors switch faulty? seem to think I've read something about this. Where is the noise emanating from, front or rear of car? The reversing sensors module is in the boot. Do you have front parking sensors with same fault perhaps?

Not a bad thought, Harvey.  It might be worth switching off the sensors to see if the noise goes away.

Hi All

Thanks to all of you for your quick responses. To answer all your suggestions, Firstly the radio is not on so it cant be that. secondly the sound is within the front of the cockpit  and it doesn't sound like the sensors for parking and it only happens when im stationary and i leave it in the drive position if i move it out of D into the park it stops and when i put it back into drive and move away from the junction it stops. The other thing that occurred to me was a few days before this started i did set up mine and my  wife's driving seat positions but i'm probably grabbing at straws but i thought id mention it, and to finish i diden't know that you could switch off the sensors i must have missed that in the book, so how is that done. Thanks for all you help. Dave

HI Dave,

There is a button [P] on the top console.  Press it in when you are either in Drive or Reverse and a red light will come on indicating that the sensors are switched off,  I could not find it in the book either but out of curiosity I pressed it and found out what it was for.

Mine doesn't have a "P" button as far as I can see? Only a park position on the gearbox selector. Where is this button exactly?

Hi Harv,

If you look above the rear view mirror and just after the reading lights close to the Ambience light you will se a button with P on it.  Press that and a red led light comes on and when that light is on the sensors are off.

Hi Dave, I've had exactly the same problem and its definitely a parking sensor issue.

Welcome to the club, Andy.

Finding which of the sensors is buzzing means getting down on your knees with the ignition on and engine not switched on, car in reverse, and listening.

Why the message centre can't tell you which one I don't know, when it can tell you exactly which Bulb in the rear light clusters has failed.

Regards,

Peter.
