Aircon stops working after 10 mins

The Aircon in my 2005 S-Type stops blowing cold air after about 10 mins.  It starts off ok, but I get a damp smell from the air vents and then the air temp warms up.  I had it re-gassed at Kwikfit, but that didn't fix it.  Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing it?  I'm a little concerned about the damp smell.
