hi, new to the forum, had my 2001 s type 3.0 ltr v6 for around 7 months now, love it, had it in for its MOT last  month and failed on OS track rod end ball joint, OS front outer ball joint and OS rear roll bar ball joint dust cover, all sorted at a cost of £240.

there were advisories of OS and NS front to back brake pipes "slightly corroded" and deteriorated rubbers on the rear tie bars, I am thinking of sorting these before the next MOT is due and I was wondering if anyone has tackled either of these jobs themselves?

Welcome to the Club, David.

I don't get oily hands any more, having a very good mobile mechanic who I have used for years, but there are quite a few S type owners who have done this work and will advise.

Regards,

Peter.

Hi David I sent mine to a garage who said my break pipes are slightly corroded they rubbed them down and greased over them and it passed it's most

I will second that, slightly corroded is a long way from being dangerous, I would get under there with a wire brush and a spray can of under seal
