could any one out there tell me if you can buy after market converters for x type 3ltr

I have had a look around and find that there are quite a few places you can get them for just over £100.

 

The x type 3.0 litre was very popular in the USA and Canada, so don't be surprised when googling that a lot of American sites pop up. 

 

Have a look at the David Manners Group, SNG Barrett, and Car Parts.
