Last week husband picked up a gem of a car S type 2.7 V6 SE diesel  Automatic with 46 k on the clock and full service history.  New cam belt kit and fully serviced.. He is so happy as he has always wanted a Jaguar.  Only problem I don't think I will get a look in.   Already had a great help from member  Raistlin on forums regarding manuals etc as they were not with car so thank you,

Hi Joan, and welcome to the club.

I think that you can download some s type owners manuals  ---   just google s type owners manual.

The cam belt does not need changing till 105k miles.

The 2.7 litre Gemini Diesel is a very good engine, but it does need a good run once a month or so to ensure the DPF is regularly regenerated.

I gave my car a terraclean service [just look it up on the internet] and it really did enhance the engine performance.

There is a nice day out at the Heritage Motor museum at Gaydon [near Coventry] on the 19th September, with over 25 cars [with occupants] coming.  A good day out!

Regards,

Peter.
